If you're looking to contribute to our projects under Google Summer of Code, you are in the right place.
Google Summer of Code
Google Summer of Code (GSoC) is an annual summer of code event where new open-source software contributors work on open-source projects with organizations under mentors. A contributor can express interest to an organization by submitting a proposal for contributing to the projects during GSoC duration, which varies on project difficulty (Low, Medium, High).

Contributing
Please ensure to follow the contributing guidelines to submit an effective GSoC proposal and work on our projects:
- Review our contributing guidelines, which details on code contribution and communication, which is essential for getting started.
- Check out our ideas list for GSoC 2026 to determine the project that aligns with your interest and expertise.
- Write a strong proposal based on the proposal submission details provided below.
Proposal Submission
To write a strong proposal, ensure that you:
- Interact with our community and the mentors corresponding to your project of interest in our Matrix room for the project of your interest. This step is necessary for gaining insights that is relevant to our project in the long-term. Furthermore, potential contributors who show genuine interest in our projects and interact in public (over DMs) helps in coordination among mentors and other community members, increasing chances of acceptance of proposal.
- Document your contributions in the proposal. Proposals with accepted and consistent contributions are more likely to get accepted, with at least functional (code-based) 1 merged PR being made to the chosen project.
Ensure your proposal has the following details documented in it:
- Objectives of the proposal
- Your background, relevant to the project
- Motivation for submitting a proposal to our organization
- Availability during GSoC period
- Your findings regarding the project and contributions to our project. Mention any interactions with mentors relevant to our project.
- Scope of work for the duration of GSoC
- Detailed description of approach and implementation (with technologies)for the proposed key activities
- Involvement with the community in the future
